One-off Shirt for Shirty07

We thought we'd give you a wee sneak'a'peak of the one-off shirt we're sending to Shirty07 for the competition/auction. Not sure if we are actually allowed to show you this image, but I haven't found anything in the rules to say we can't.... hehe. So here you go!

The pic includes the packaging we'll be selling all our shirts in at Shirty07... I'll do another post on the cool packaging a bit later.

Concept: The design actually came from the packages that OK TOKIO will be selling their shirts in at Shirty 07 - we decided to print some A2 posters, fold then sew them up on each side (very much like the ones Made Thought did for their client 'The Mill'), then screen print over the top for that real "limited edition" touch to the Tshirts/packages. The screen print that we've put onto the shirt packages is the same screen we've put on the one-off shirt. And then to top it off, the t-shirt has been embroidered with OK TOKIO 01/01 to give it a 'once-only ever' marking.

Colour/shirt details: We've chosen a charcoal grey in an American Apparel small guys cotton Tshirt. The "OK TOKIO LIMITED EDITION T SHIRT" screen print is in black and the one-off "OK TOKIO 01/01) embroidery is in black and yellow, printed diagonally on the top half of the Tshirt.

Shirts for Shirty07!

Hey kids, we're currently working on a series of shirts for Shirty07! Woohoo! For those of you who haven't heard of Shirty, it's a crazy 12-hour meat-market (shirts are meat in this instance) in Sydney where designers get to exhibit thier work via shirt... and since OK TOKIO is keen on both design and shirts, we thought we'd get into the spirit of things and do a few and set up shop down there. we'll keep you posted. Go check out Shirty07!

I love Poketo!

I just want to say that I love these guys - they make cool stuff like little plastic wallets with cool art from heaps of artists around the world! go check out the Poketo site when you get a chance - they're really cool. 1st pic is a wallet with Elisa Riera's art and the second pic is of my Poketo wallet by Keri Smith... nice work Poketo. OK TOKIO is looking into making a couple of these wallets with a sweet as 'only ok tokio' design - so look out for them towards the end of the year.

$9 plastic camera - should be interesting.

I bought this camera on the net for $9, it's pretty fricken bottom-of-the-line in so far as it was made to look like an SLR digital camera, and then you pick it up... It weighs almost nothing! and there's nothing requiring power - it's all manual wind on, no zoom, point and shoot basic camera loveliness. Still on the first film, so we'll see if it's actually taking photos when I get the film developed. Look out for em, I'm still looking for a fan club that features these. hehe.
